OVERVIEW

Each year, guests from around the world experience their very own space adventure by exploring the exciting past, present and future of America’s space program at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Built in 1967, today the visitor complex is one of Central Florida’s most popular tourist destinations.

Since 1995, when Delaware North Companies Parks & Resorts, Inc. began managing the visitor complex, every aspect of this 70-acre facility has been entirely redeveloped and enhanced. From Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex, the Shuttle Launch Experience, astronaut encounters to larger-than-life space films, live shows, hands-on activities and behind-the-scenes tours, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex offers guests an educational, entertaining and comprehensive space program experience. 

DIRECTIONS

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is located just east of Orlando on Space Commerce Way. From Orlando, take State Road 528 east and follow the signs to Kennedy Space Center. From Interstate 95, take exit 212 northbound or exit 215 southbound. From Merritt Island or Cocoa Beach, take State Road 3.

The visitor complex opens daily at 9 a.m. Closing times vary by season. 

ANNUAL PASS

Annual Passholders have year-round passage to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, along with additional benefits. Annual passes can be purchased at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, by telephone at 877-313-2610 or on the web at www.KennedySpaceCenter.com.

SERVICES

Wheelchairs and strollers are available inside the main entrance and all exhibits and tours are wheelchair accessible. The visitor complex offers complimentary use of pet kennels. First aid, ATM and bus parking are available.

CERTIFIED AUTISM CENTER

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex has partnered with the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to become a Certified Autism Center. The collaboration aims to ensure autistic and sensory-sensitive individuals can visit with confidence. As a Certified Autism Center, the following features and services are provided to ensure an inclusive and enjoyable experience for all guests: Sensory guidance signage is placed throughout the visitor complex. These signs include ratings for each sense and detailed information on how each area may impact sensory experiences. Designated low sensory areas where guests with sensory sensitivities can take a break and relax in a less stimulating environment; and an updated Sensory Guide. The Guide is available online, on the app, and at Guest Services, Information, and Will Call. This comprehensive guide provides detailed information about additional accommodations and options available to visitors.
 

SHOPPING

The Space Shop is the largest retail store in the world devoted to space-themed merchandise with more than 40,000 items. Guests may also order items by telephone at 1-800-621-9826 or on the web at www.thespaceshop.com.

Guests may choose from numerous self-service restaurants and specialty food locations with a wide variety of menu options.
