2015 live racing meet off and running

The 2015 live racing season at Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack (FLGR) got underway on Friday with a longshot winner in the first race. Lo Gin and Tonic scored the upset at odds of 28-1.

2015 season to begin Friday at Finger Lakes

Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack (FLGR) will kick off the 2015 live thoroughbred racing meet on Friday afternoon. The historic Western New York track’s 53rd season will begin with the nine-race Opening Day card. Post time for the first race is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. Racing gates open at 10:00 a.m.

Finger Lakes 2014 Live Thoroughbred Racing Season Concludes

Finger Lakes Gaming and Racetrack (FLGR) concluded the 2014 season on Friday with Dreamboat taking the feature race of the Closing Day card. Pedro Rodriguez guided the 3-year-old gelding owned by Langpap Stables to the two length victory.

Fox Rules named 2014 Horse of the Year

Fox Rules was named 2014 Finger Lakes (FLGR) “Horse of the Year” at the annual FLGR Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association awards dinner on Saturday. The 5-year-old New York-bred owned by Langpap Stables won all three of his FLGR starts this year.

The live racing card for Tuesday, November 18 at Finger Lakes Gaming and Racetrack (FLGR) was canceled after the running of the first race.

Ferraro saddles 3,000th winner

Trainer Michael S. Ferraro notched his 3000th career win at Finger Lakes Gaming and Racetrack (F.L.G.R.) on Wednesday, November 12.  He reached the milestone when Sweet Sweet Afleet scored a two and three-quarter length victory in the eighth race under jockey David Lopez.

Crackerjack Jones Breaks Track Record

Crackerjack Jones scored his third consecutive victory in a track record time at Finger Lakes Gaming and Racetrack on Wednesday. The Christopher Progno-trainee won the eighth race by six and one-half lengths in a one mile and one-quarter time of 2:05.10.

Geaux Mets was a convincing winner of the $50,000 Ontario County Stakes at Finger Lakes Gaming and Racetrack (F.L.G.R.) on Saturday. He took the 30th renewal of the dash for New York-bred 3-year-olds by twelve and one-half lengths
