Position: Director of New Property Planning and Projects, Delaware North, Gaming
Ron Sultemeier is director of new property planning and projects for Delaware North's gaming division. Delaware North is one of the largest and most-admired privately held companies in the United States with revenues of approximately $3 billion and 60,000 associates serving half a billion customers in North America, Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Europe.
Delaware North's gaming division is one of the most innovative gaming and racing operators in the country, specializing in racing venues with added amenities, including video gaming machines, table games, full-service restaurants, retail shops and lodging. Among the company’s top casino properties are Jumer’s Casino & Hotel in Rock Island, Ill., and Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack in West Virginia.
In his role, Sultemeier works to evaluate business opportunities in the racing, gaming and entertainment industries in order to further develop Delaware North’s largest operating company. He also is adept at leveraging the company’s resources and expertise in key operating companies to bring added value to gaming and racing industry clients. In all, Sultemeier has been involved in the gaming industry since 1972.
Sultemeier has been with Delaware North since January 1994 in a number of senior-level management positions. He is a graduate of the University of New Mexico with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting.
