Tampa airport adds quick-serve chicken restaurant

Fresh off the opening of modern-American restaurant Mise en Place two weeks ago, Delaware North’s travel division recently opened a popular quick-service concept, PDQ, continuing to add to its portfolio at Tampa International Airport.

Delaware North, in partnership with TPA Hospitality Partners, opened the restaurant
in TPA’s Airside C terminal.

PDQ, which stands for People Dedicated to Quality, is a fast-growing quick-service concept that offers freshly made chicken sandwiches, salads, and more. The airport location will serve its famous hand-breaded chicken tenders using fresh, never-frozen chicken, hand-crafted sandwiches, made-to-order salads, chicken wraps, fresh-baked cookies and hand-spun milkshakes.

The location will also feature a daily breakfast menu with breakfast sandwiches, bowls and the brand’s signature “donuts” made of house-made biscuit dough and powdered sugar. The concept was originally founded in Tampa in 2009 and currently has more than 60 locations around the country.

“We could not be more excited to open our first-ever PDQ airport location in our hometown of Tampa,” said PDQ CEO and Co-Founder Nick Reader in a press release.

“We have a deep love for the city and are excited that we can not only serve our neighbors as they jet off, but also provide quality, delicious dining options to visitors to the area as well. Our team of People Dedicated to Quality looks forward to welcoming those traveling through Tampa and introducing them to our brand.”
