Openings, innovation highlight busy week for Delaware North in Atlanta airport

Innovation and expansion highlighted a busy week of Oct. 18 for Delaware North at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

On the innovation front, Delaware North – which operates a variety of food and beverage services in the Atlanta airport – partnered with mobile-ordering provider Grab. By downloading the Grab application, travelers through Atlanta – the world’s busiest airport – will now have the convenience of ordering from Delaware North-operated restaurants in the airport, including the 40/40 Club and the Food Network Kitchen.

Delaware North’s partnership with Grab will expand at the airport and into other markets in the coming months.

Meanwhile, Delaware North also opened a pair of eateries last week in Atlanta: Grindhouse Killer Burgers and Argo Tea Cafe, both of which are located on Terminal T near Gate T11.

Grindhouse Killer Burgers is a local favorite that features hand-patted burgers. Guests can either build their own burgers or order one of several specialties, including The Cowboy, Dixie and Grindhouse – all served with choice of crinkle-cut fries, hand-dipped onion rings, or coleslaw. The full-service bar offers local craft beers and specialty alcoholic ice-cream shakes.

Argo Tea Cafe (pictured at right) features more than 24 crafted tea beverages, freshly prepared baked goods, sandwiches argo-1051152and salads. The concept also offers a variety of coffee and espresso.

With more than 75 seats, the space (pictured at right) offers courtesy power and USB outlets, music, comfortable seating and more than a dozen big-screen televisions – including flight-display screens and a very large projection screen featuring 1970s and 80s cult classic “B” movies.

“I would like to thank everyone involved in the projects and a special thank you to the Atlanta team for all of their dedication and hard work to ensure a successful opening,” said Steve Bass, regional vice president of Delaware North’s travel hospitality business.
