NFL kicks off 2019 season with fresh flavors

It’s time for the 2019 NFL season, and Delaware North Sportservice is ready to delight football fans with new food items and concepts. Delaware North operates food and beverage services at five NFL stadiums across the country, giving fans the fuel they need for game day.

Lambeau Field’s comfort food favorites

Hot comfort food is essential when game-day temperatures regularly dip below freezing. At Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisc., home of the Green Bay Packers, the Delaware North Sportservice team has fans covered with fresh takes on old favorites.

New menu items include Chicken Parmesan Meatballs, a Korean BBQ Chicken Noodle Bowl, a Steak Sandwich and the Polish Sausage Plate.

For those looking to stay out of the elements, 1919 Kitchen & Tap, Delaware North’s sports bar and gastropub located in Lambeau Field, is offering a new 1919 Hot Chicken Sandwich (buttermilk fried chicken thigh, Music City hot sauce, pimento cheese and chow-chow relish).

MetLife Stadium’s new food concepts

MetLife Stadium, home to the New York Giants and New York Jets, continues to expand fan-favorite concepts — and add new ones — making it easier than ever for guests to get a taste of Delaware North’s innovative flavors.

New concepts for 2019 include Against the Grain burger and Mr. Tot at MetLife Central. Against the Grain will offer a three-meat patty blend of short rib, brisket and chuck, topped with raw onions, stadium sauce and American cheese, served on a toasted, seeded brioche bun. Mr. Tot will have tater tots loaded with beer cheese, bacon and scallions, as well as a cauliflower tot option.

The Fat Rooster — Delaware North’s proprietary spicy chicken sandwich concept that originated at MetLife Stadium — has earned a spot on the busiest concourse this year. That brings the total to five locations and two concession stands. A non-spicy option is new this year — Fat Rooster Tenders, served with hot honey or country honey mustard sauce.

Also expanding are the Stadium Gyro concept and Nonna Fusco’s Kitchen, which for the first time will have a permanent location at stand 108. Fans will find Nonna’s Meatball Parm Sandwich and Mini Bombolini — Italian donuts with Nutella, powdered sugar and raspberry jam — at the updated concept.

Homegrown favorites at New Era Field

You know you’re in Buffalo—and in close proximity to Canada—when the team at New Era Field, home of the Buffalo Bills, comes up with a new menu item connecting the best of both worlds: Beef on Weck Poutine. Beef on weck is a Buffalo-born sandwich, and poutine is a Canadian French fry dish. The Beef on Weck Poutine at New Era Field is kimmelweck-seasoned fries, shredded roast beef, locally made Yancey’s Fancy horseradish cheese, thick au jus and scallions. Fans can find the poutine at stand 121.

Hot Honey Chicken ‘n Waffles (pictured above) is another new addition at New Era Field. The combination of fried chicken bites, fries, Bison Dip slaw, bread-and-butter pickles, Frank’s Red Hot Honey sauce and waffle cone pieces is the perfect blend of North-meets-South.

The Delaware North team at New Era Field has also added two new grab-and-go markets, as well as a cashless self-ordering kiosk at Miller Brew Pub (stand 121). At Tailgate Village, the Buffalo Bills’ new designated tailgate area, guests have the option to order catered food and beverage from Sportservice.

TIAA Bank Field celebrates 25th anniversary of Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars are celebrating their 25th season with a commemorative logo, yearlong celebrations and a new burger. The 25th Year Anniversary Burger is an all-beef burger served on a locally sourced brioche bun, topped with bacon mayo, tomato, sharp provolone cheese, guava BBQ sauce and avocado slaw. Fans can find the anniversary burger at Tailgate Grill locations.

In addition to the new burger, all standard-size stadium hot dogs will be served on a pretzel-style bun.
