Delaware North Companies unveils six new food and retail concepts at new
North Terminal

BUFFALO, N.Y. (Sept. 17, 2008) - Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services, one of the world's leading airport food and retail providers, is opening six new food and retail concepts when Detroit Metropolitan Airport unveils its new North Terminal today.

The new concepts are Hockeytown Café, Le Petit Bistro, Everything ASAP, T.G.I. Friday's, Gayle's Chocolates and the first-ever Sports Illustrated retail store. The Wayne County Airport Authority selected Delaware North to expand its food and retail offerings at the airport's new terminal.

"Delaware North is thrilled about the opening of the new terminal and the new concepts we're set to offer to travelers visiting the Detroit Metro Airport," said Matt King, president of Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services. "Our company has had great success at the airport and we truly understand the market. We're happy to grow our relationship with this great airport."

With the opening of these new concepts, Delaware North now operates more than 30 retail and restaurant locations within the airport. The company already manages restaurants and specialty shops in the airport's other terminals, including Fuddruckers, the Martini Lounge, Thee Irish Pub, Vito's Market/Coffee Beanery, the Henry Ford Museum Store, the Stylish Paw and Gadgets to Go.

"Our company's core philosophy is to find the right mix of local and national brands to represent an airport and its region," said King. "We've done that in Detroit and in the process we've built a great relationship with the airport and Wayne County Airport Authority that we look forward to continuing for many years to come."

Today, Delaware North is opening:

Sports Illustrated - Delaware North has partnered with Sports Illustrated to help the revered sports brand open its first-ever retail store. The SI store will feature an array of branded consumer products including apparel, books and magazines as well as branded merchandise of the area's professional (Red Wings, Tigers, Pistons, Lions) and college (Michigan State University and the University of Michigan) teams. The store will bear the brand's logo above the entrance and poster-sized Detroit-themed SI covers. It will also provide electronic kiosks where shoppers can check sports scores and access the company's online vault of past SI publications.

Hockeytown Café - Delaware North will open an airport location of this famous downtown Detroit restaurant that celebrates the city's love of hockey and its rich history with the National Hockey League's Detroit Red Wings. Since opening in 1998, the Hockeytown Café has been popular among locals for its delicious food, extensive beer list, broadcasts of Red Wings games and other Detroit sports teams, a display of vintage motorcycles and its sports-oriented décor. The restaurant was ranked by sports network ESPN2 as the second best sports bar in America.

Le Petit Bistro - This national concept features delicious deli-style food while providing travelers with a warm, welcoming European style atmosphere. The concept prides itself on its Bistro-style menu featuring food that is prepared fresh every day.

T.G.I. Friday's - This highly popular and recognizable national brand prides itself on its neighborhood atmosphere and creative menu of appetizers, soups, salads and entrees. A casual dining option, T.G.I. Friday's boasts extensive offerings for travelers.

Everything ASAP - Delaware North will open an Everything ASAP travel convenience store in the new north terminal, the second one at the airport. The retail concept stocks a host of amenities including cosmetics, over-the-counter medicines, cameras, batteries, small electronics, travel accessories and souvenirs, apparel, small toys, snacks and a variety of grab-n-go food items. The company has had great success with its proprietary store located in the airport's Terminal C, King said.

Gayle's Chocolates - The popular local concept features numerous chocolate and candy items and signature gifts. The concept is an off-shoot of a Detroit-area store that has seen great success. Delaware North already operates one such concept in the McNamara Terminal of the airport.
