Saratoga, N.Y.(June 12, 2007) – Saratoga Gaming & Raceway is now one of two facilities to host the first ever Wide Area Progressive Video Gaming Machines in New York State. The link is now up between Saratoga and Monticello Gaming and Raceway.

“This is a much anticipated event.” said Saratoga Gaming & Raceway Director of Video Gaming Machine Operations Bart Algozzini. “Traditionally Wide Are Progressives have been very popular with customers, offering the opportunity for much higher jackpots. We’ve been talking about this for a long time and we’re pleased to see it here.”

Saratoga Gaming & Raceway has linked six of its Bally’s Lucky Wheel Progressive video gaming machines with ten similar Bally’s machines at Monticello Gaming & Raceway. A percentage of credits from each machine at both facilities will enter into one jackpot. The jackpot began at 10:00am this morning at $50,000 and will grow progressively until someone from either gaming facility wins the pot. The jackpot will then reset to $50,000. Although the jackpot starts at $50,000, the potential jackpot is much more.

The largest jackpot ever won at Saratoga Gaming & Raceway was $195,700.25 on a Bally’s in-house progressive machine. “We expect to break that record easily.” Said Mr. Algozzini.

Players will be able to view the jackpot on a digital display located on each machine. Until now Saratoga Gaming and Raceway has offered in-house video gaming progressive machines linked together within the facility. “Wide Area” covers multiple facilities and, in this case, includes Saratoga Gaming & Raceway and Monticello Gaming & Raceway.

Saratoga Gaming and Raceway now boasts over 1,700 state-of-the-art video gaming machines, a new two-story night club, Vapor, two full-service restaurants with buffets, three full-service bars, food court and deli, gift shop, and a variety of guest services including valet parking and coat check. Video gaming and food and beverage operations at Saratoga Gaming and Raceway are managed by Delaware North Companies Inc., a leading hospitality and entertainment management group headquartered in Buffalo, NY.
