Bonnie won in the final 5 seconds of the 5-minute tournament round after her slot machine hit for three lucky 7s catapulting her from third place to first place instantly. The crowd of over 200 spectators went wild as Bonnie jumped for joy and the final seconds ticked down.
Bonnie was very thankful for the win. When asked how she felt to be $100,000 richer, she said, "I am overwhelmed. I want to thank the person who thought of this tournament. Wheeling Island is a great place, I will say that!"
The second through fifth place finishers also won their share of $10,000 in cash prizes. Aurelio D. of Pittsburgh, PA won $4,000, Robert S. of Glassport, PA won $3,000, Cathy W. of Kent, OH won $2,000 and Robert B. of Concord, OH won $1,000.
