Barney to support corporate strategic initiatives in new role
BUFFALO, N.Y. (Feb. 19, 2008) – Delaware North Companies today announced the promotion of Tom Barney to director of strategic planning and development.
In this new role, Barney will focus efforts on corporate development opportunities, corporate financing activities and supporting the implementation of the company’s strategic plan. He will also work closely with Delaware North Companies Boston and Delaware North Companies Parks and Resorts providing analysis on their financial projects.
Barney has been with Delaware North for 16 years and most recently held the title of manager of strategic planning and development. Over the years, he has held a number of corporate financial positions, focusing on Delaware North’s airport, parks and sporting concessions businesses.
He was graduated by the Rochester Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He later earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University at Buffalo.
