Delaware North Companies Builds Partnership with T.G.I. Friday’s

Company's Travel Hospitality Services division set to open to new concepts this fall

BUFFALO, N.Y. (October 15, 2008) – Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services, one of the world’s leading airport food and retail providers, has announced the opening of T.G.I. Friday’s locations at Detroit Metro Airport and Ontario International Airport this fall.

These new concepts represent an emerging partnership between Delaware North and T.G.I. Friday’s, one of the world’s leading casual dining restaurants. T.G.I. Friday’s is well known for its extensive and creative menu featuring everything from steak and seafood to soups, salads and pasta dishes.

"Our company is excited about partnering with such a strong and respected brand," said Matt King, president of Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services. "Our company prides itself on giving travelers the dining options they desire and these new T.G.I. Friday’s concepts help us achieve that goal. We’re happy to bring this exciting concept to the great airports we operate within."

Delaware North opened the first concept September 17 when Detroit Metro Airport unveiled its brand new North Terminal. The Wayne County Airport Authority selected Delaware North to expand the food and retail operations in the terminal. Delaware North also opened Hockeytown Café, Le Petit Bistro, Gayle’s Chocolate, Everything ASAP, and the first-ever Sports Illustrated retail store.

Later this fall, Delaware North will open another T.G.I. Friday’s location in Ontario International Airport in California. The concept would nearly complete Delaware North’s renovation of the airport which started during the summer.

"These new restaurants represent an emerging partnership between Delaware North and TGI Friday’s Inc.," said Mark Snyder, vice president of franchising for T.G.I. Fridays U.S.A. "Their leadership and industry experience will prove very beneficial."

"Delaware North wants to work with the best food and retail concepts available and that’s why we’re eager to grow our relationship with T.G.I. Friday’s," said King. "People love this concept and we’d love to bring it to more airports and enable more people to enjoy it while traveling."

Delaware North Companies is a global leader in food service and hospitality with operations at such places as Wembley Stadium in the UK, Busch Stadium in St. Louis and Yosemite National Park.
