BUFFALO, NY. (January 6, 2017) – Delaware North, a privately-held, global hospitality company based in Buffalo, is collaborating with the Buffalo Public Schools' Emerson School of Hospitality to host a rigorous culinary competition.

Forty-eight high school students, making up 12 teams, will compete every Friday for ten weeks for a chance to win the $1,000 grand prize provided by Delaware North. Food and beverage executives and chefs from the hospitality company will judge the competition based on five criteria: Uniform/Grooming, Kitchen Skills, Teamwork, Final Product and Presentation.

Teams will be announced on Monday, Jan. 9, and the students will be introduced to the Delaware North judges. The cooking competition begins Friday, Jan. 13, in the Emerson School of Hospitality kitchens, with elimination rounds over the next ten weeks.
