Sea Crest Beach Hotel announces upgraded amenities and unique fall events

FALMOUTH, Mass. (September 11, 2019) – Sea Crest Beach Hotel, a seaside resort located on Cape Cod just 73 miles from Boston, has announced the completion of several property renovations—including a shuttle—just in time for fall travelers. Sea Crest is an ideal home base to explore and experience Cape Cod region events and attractions.

Open year-round, Sea Crest Beach Hotel boasts over 700 feet of private, white-sand beach space, ocean-front and ocean-view guest rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, a spa and fitness facilities and over 30,000 square feet of event space for weddings, conferences and other group functions.

Fall visitors to Cape Cod enjoy beautiful autumn foliage, seasonal events, cooler weather and less traffic—all while still experiencing one-of-a-kind sunsets, culinary specialties and other local favorites.

“Fall is a perfect time to visit Cape Cod and enjoy a weekend getaway,” said Clark Guinn, Sea Crest’s general manager. “Every guest will find a memorable experience—from seal watching to Wellfleet OysterFest to exploring Martha’s Vineyard and cranberry bogs, there’s something for everyone.”

The new Sea Crest shuttle offers service to nearby downtown Falmouth and Woods Hole, where visitors can catch the Martha’s Vineyard ferry. Sea Crest offers a host of amenities and leisure activities, including an ice cream shop, bike rentals and beach volleyball, as well as great proximity to five nearby 18-hole golf courses. In season, Yamaha WaveRunners are available for guest rental.

The renovations at Sea Crest are part of ongoing $10 million enhancements to the 253-room hotel. Delaware North, one of the largest privately held global hospitality companies in the world, owns and operates the resort and has continued to re-invest in its amenities since it purchased the property in 2016. Recent improvements include a refreshed lobby, guest room renovations, restaurant renovations, enhanced beach service and poolside movies.

  • Guest rooms and suites: 105 guest rooms have been renovated and 10 new suites have been created, including adding fireplaces, new flooring, new furniture, new windows and window treatments. All guest rooms and premium rooms are now outfitted with Serta Euro Pillow Top mattresses for king- and queen-sized beds. New flat-screen televisions have also been installed in all rooms.

  • Lobby area: Guests are welcomed to Sea Crest with a coastal-chic feel, including watercolor paintings by Lilly Pulitzer designer Ingrid Johnson and brand-new furniture and lighting.

  • Red’s Restaurant & Lounge: Guests can now enjoy magnificent views of the ocean year-round on the four-season patio at Red’s. Named after legendary Boston Celtics coach Red Auerbach who once owned the hotel, Red’s also has a refreshed menu that is continually updated with local, seasonal dishes and fresh-caught seafood brought in daily.
