The article detailed Baynes’s career trajectory and noted her roots in the community: “She is the first territorian – and first woman – to gain one of the most prestigious jobs in the Northern Territory hospitality industry, and is now one of only a few female casino bosses in Australia.”

Delaware North’s Lizard Island Resort, which reopened in December, was also profiled as an ideal eco-friendly destination. In naming Lizard Island the “ultimate planet-friendly accommodation if you’re planning to explore the Great Barrier Reef,” Culture Trip said: “This exemplary eco-resort practices an impressive amount of environmentally friendly initiatives, including using solar power and LED lights, composting and recycling, as well as serving locally sourced, sustainably produced cuisine.”

In the more rugged terrain of Western Australia, Delaware North’s El Questro Homestead was named one of Australia’s Best Luxury Lodges by Travel Awaits.

“The luxury of El Questro Homestead sits in stark contrast with the rugged and fiery red cliffs of the Kimberley region,” the article notes. “Perched on a clifftop overlooking the Chamberlain Gorge, the homestead offers luxurious accommodation with just nine rooms. Enjoy three-course dinners with matching wines under the stars, at either the communal table or at private dining spots overlooking the gorge.”
