Everyone who donates a toy will receive a coupon for Sunday brunch at the resort
BUFFALO, N.Y. (Nov. 10, 2009) – Gideon Putnam Resort and Roosevelt Baths & Spa is accepting Toys for Tots donations that will help brighten the holidays for children in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve that donates toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them holiday gifts.

Anyone who visits the resort and donates a toy will receive a coupon for Sunday brunch at Puntam’s restaurant. Donors can choose between a $10 children’s brunch coupon and a $20 adult brunch coupon. The coupons never expire and can be picked up at the resort’s front desk. They cannot be used toward alcohol or gratuity.

Gideon Putnam Resort’s Executive Chef Brian Sterner prepares a weekly Sunday brunch featuring omelets, fruit crepes, waffles, carving stations, fresh seafood selections, soups and other brunch items.

“It’s exciting to see Gideon Putnam Resort partnering with Toys for Tots during the holiday season,” said Sterner. “We do an incredible brunch at Putnam’s restaurant. It’s a delicious way to say thank you to everyone who makes a donation.”

Putnam’s opened in April as part of Gideon Putnam Resort’s ongoing renovation efforts. The resort has also made several enhancements to its Roosevelt Baths & Spa and guest accommodations. Those making a donation are encouraged to take a tour and explore the hotel’s new offerings. The renovations are part of Delaware North Companies Parks & Resorts’ planned 20-year, $18 million investment program at the property.
