Position: Vice President, Culinary and Food and Beverage Development

Christian C. De Vos is the vice president of culinary and food and beverage development for Delaware North.
In his role, De Vos creates the vision and long- and short-term strategic direction for Delaware North’s culinary and food & beverage development programs.
De Vos has several areas of focus. He oversees and champions Delaware North’s chef education/development, food and beverage management education and hourly associate food and beverage education/development programs. He works with the subsidiaries, business units and corporate departments to identify needs and opportunities to ensure the organization has bench strength to support long-term growth. De Vos also serves as ambassador to culinary schools and college food and beverage and hospitality programs – partnering with Delaware North’s Talent Acquisition team to foster relationships and recruitment efforts.
Since joining Delaware North in 2005, De Vos has served as vice president of food and beverage for Delaware North’s parks and resorts business, overseeing food and beverage operations and front-of-the-house guest service programs. He has developed and implemented operational and logistical culinary standards and played an integral role in selecting and developing culinary staff.
Prior to working with Delaware North, De Vos served a six-year term as dean of the School of Culinary Arts at Kendall College in Chicago. He was responsible for leading and supervising a staff of 17 full-time chef instructors and 300 full-time students. He also brings experience from the Chicago Fund on Aging and Disability, and Aramark.
De Vos completed his undergraduate work at Ecole Hoteliere de Namur in Namur, Belgium, and subsequently graduated from Loyola University with a master’s degree.
