Delaware North program gives community organizations opportunity to raise funds by operating concessions during Tigers home games

DETROIT (Dec.16, 2014) – Delaware North Sportservice, the exclusive food, beverage and retail services provider for the Detroit Tigers, is seeking charitable organizations/nonprofit groups to participate in its fundraising program in preparation for the 2015 season at Comerica Park.

Delaware North’s recruiting effort is focused on attracting civic organizations, high-school boosters, churches and other nonprofit groups to operate concessions at the stadium – an opportunity that helps to raise funds for the respective organizations. “This program is an effective and attractive way for organizations to raise money without having to risk investing funds up front,” said Robert Thormeier, Delaware North’s general manager at Comerica Park.
Delaware North Sportservice – which in 2015 will celebrate 85 years in partnership with the Tigers – has a long tradition of working with its team partners to assist charitable and other non-profit groups in raising money for their organizations and communities. The fundraising program began more than 20 years ago and donates between $10 million and $15 million each year for nonprofit groups at venues across the country.
Note:  All volunteers must be 18 years or older and you must have proper credentials to satisfy the fundraising requirements.
