New food court concepts provide travelers with wide array of options
Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services, one of the world’s leading airport food and retail providers, opened Moe’s Southwest Grill and The Salt Lick at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City earlier this week.
Moe’s Southwest Grill is a fun and engaging fast-casual concept serving a wide variety of fresh, made-to-order Southwest fare, including tacos, nachos, quesadillas, burritos, fajitas and salads. Moe’s prides itself on its fresh food, free tortilla chips and fun menu names like The Funk Meister, Close Talker, Billy Barou and Homewrecker. This is the first Moe’s Southwest Grill that Delaware North has opened at any of its company locations.
The Salt Lick is a Southern barbecue restaurant that originated in Texas. Key menu items include sliced briskets, pulled pork and chopped beef sandwiches. Travelers also can pick up fully cooked briskets to go when in a hurry. Delaware North opened its first Salt Lick at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
“Our company is very excited to open these new concepts at Will Rogers World Airport,” said Matt King, president of Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services. “These additions to our already strong concept offerings at the airport will increase the overall airport dining experience for guests.”
The concepts are each 700 square feet in size. These concepts join pre-existing Delaware North operations at the airport such as Bar 1907, Route 66 Grill, Schlotzsky’s and Sonic.
Delaware North’s opening of a Moe’s Southwest Grill is another example of the company’s efforts to partner with recognizable national brands. Over the past year, the company has joined forces with Sports Illustrated, Heineken, Guinness, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and Which Wich to open concepts at airports around the country.
Delaware North Companies is a global leader in hospitality and food service that operates at such places as Wembley Stadium in the UK, Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Yosemite National Park and more than 150 others. The company’s Travel Hospitality Services division operates at over two dozen airports worldwide. Los Angeles International Airport, Detroit Wayne County Metropolitan Airport and Melbourne Airport in Australia are part of its portfolio.
