Every fall, thousands of bald eagles flock to southwestern British Columbia, drawn by millions of salmon that spawn in local rivers and estuaries. The region witnessed over 7000 bald eagles in 2010. To celebrate this event, the annual Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival will be held on November 19 and 20. The festival honors this unique gathering, the third-largest of its kind in North America, while also paying tribute to the region’s overall biodiversity. In addition to the majestic bald eagle, you may encounter seals, deer, coyotes and the great white sturgeon.

A $5 donation (1 night package) or a $10 dollar donation (2 night package) goes to O.W.L (owlcanada.ca) on behalf of our Canadian guests or to P.A.W.S (paws.org) on behalf of our U.S. guests. These two non-profit organizations specialize in the recovery and rehabilitation of wildlife in British Columbia and Washington state.
U.S guests may enjoy the bald eagle viewing experience and Thanksgiving dinner. Thursday, November 24, guests may enjoy a four-course Thanksgiving dinner in the legendary Copper Room or a Thanksgiving buffet in the Lakeside Café.
