Position: Vice President of Internal Audit

Alexis Becker serves as vice president of internal audit for Delaware North – a position based at the company’s global headquarters in Buffalo, N.Y.

In her role, Becker reports to Executive Vice President and CFO Chris Feeney and provides strategic direction and leadership in the areas of internal auditing throughout the organization. She designs and implements Delaware North’s internal auditing programs and controls – covering the areas of business systems and processes, financial and accounting systems, IT, investigations, contracts and business risk assessments.

Becker, who joined Delaware North in 2016 with more than 12 years of experience in the public accounting arena, previously held a leadership post with SS&G Inc., which merged with BDO USA LLP in 2015. She joined SS&G in 2004 as an entrepreneurial services group associate and steadily climbed the ranks to lead SS&G’s Restaurant Practice and serve as office managing partner.

As SS&G and BDO USA joined forces, Becker took on the role of co-leader of BDO’s National Restaurant Practice. In that role, she had oversight of more than 50 offices and was responsible for the integration of SS&G’s Restaurant Practice into BDO’s National Restaurant Practice, while continuing to serve as an advisor to her clients. In addition to providing clients with routine audit services, she also regularly assisted restaurant clients with internal control assessments, benchmarking studies and strategic consulting.

Becker, who began her career as a tax associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, earned a bachelor’s degree in accountancy at John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio, and an MBA in finance at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She has been a regular speaker at the Restaurant CFO Bootcamp and the Restaurant Finance & Development Conference.
