FISH CAMP, Calif., (Sept. 14, 2011) – Nearly 100
Delaware North retail employees joined more than 50 vendors for the Delaware North Companies 13
th annual Retail Trade Show in late August near Yosemite National Park.
The full-scale trade show took place at Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite, a resort in Fish Camp, Calif., owned and operated by Delaware North. The company, a global leader in hospitality and food service, has also become a significant retailer at national parks, sports venues and airports.
The theme for this year’s show was “People, Process, Performance.” In the year ahead, Delaware North’s retail managers will focus on developing and recruiting retail talent and enhancing retail processes. Vendors and sponsors shared best practices and current retail trends with Delaware North’s retail management.
Achievement awards were distributed to select Delaware North retail locations and partners. In the
Parks & Resorts division, awards were presented to retail managers at The Lodge at Geneva on-the-Lake, Gideon Putnam Resort, Grand Canyon National Park, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and Yosemite National Park.
In the
Sportservice division, achievement awards were handed out to retail managers for the Baltimore Orioles, Boston Bruins Pro Shop, Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Dayton Dragons, Detroit Tigers, Milwaukee Brewers, Nashville Predators, Tampa Bay Lightning and TD Garden.
and the Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport took home achievement awards.
Awards were also handed out for outstanding partnerships between three Delaware North Companies subsidiaries and their respective vendors. In Parks & Resorts, the award was presented to
Prairie Mountain. In the Sportservice division, the award was presented to
OPTO International. In the Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services division, the award was presented to
MV Sport.
