John WentzellJohn Wentzell is president of Delaware North Companies Boston (TD Garden) and Delaware North’s operations in Australia, New Zealand and Europe. Delaware North Companies is a global leader in hospitality and food service. With more than $2 billion in annual revenue and 55,000 employees, it is one of the largest privately held companies in the world.

Wentzell has been serving the company as president of its sizeable Boston operation since 2006. As such, he oversees the company-owned TD Garden and Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics events at the Garden. The state-of-the-art facility is widely acclaimed as one of the best sports and entertainment venues in the world.

His duties were expanded in 2011 to include Delaware North’s sports and travel hospitality businesses in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Among many others, he is responsible for Wembley Stadium in London and Melbourne & Olympic Parks, home of the Australian Open.

Prior to joining Delaware North, John Wentzell served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Philadelphia Phantoms. He also managed and developed sales and marketing efforts for the Providence and Philadelphia civic centers, and held general manager positions at the Centrum in Worcester, Mass; the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center and the Providence Civic Center.

Wentzell is a graduate of Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio. He also earned a master's degree in sport and facility management from the University of Massachusetts.
