Jim Houser is vice president of administration for Delaware North Companies, a global leader in hospitality and food service. With more than $2 billion in annual revenue and 55,000 employees, it is one of the largest privately held companies in the world.
Houser has been with Delaware North for more than 30 years. He currently oversees the company’s facilities, supply management, security, culinary, retail, communications and ecommerce functions, as well as its environmental management system called GreenPath® and its customer service program called GuestPath®.
Houser began his career with Delaware North Companies Sportservice, serving as acting general manager for the company’s operation at the former Cinergy Field in Cincinnati. A competent leader, he rose steadily through the ranks and held the positions of director of labor relations and chief operating officer for Sportservice. His most recent position was that of vice president of facilities. As such, he managed Delaware North’s multimillion-dollar portfolio of global design and construction projects in support of hospitality, food and retail services.
Houser earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati and has taken a variety of training and management development courses over the years. He received the inaugural Delaware North President’s Award of Excellence in 2006.
