Richard Dobransky
Title: Vice President of Food and Beverage
Richard Dobransky, a 25-year veteran of the food service and catering industry, is vice president of food and beverage for Delaware North Companies Sportservice. As co-chairman of Delaware North’s corporate Culinary & Hospitality Council, he helps to advance the company’s culinary and hospitality objectives across all of its divisions. Dobransky brings a wealth of experience to Delaware North gained during an almost-20-year career that began when he started a business while he was a student at Michigan State University. He spent 13 years with Chicago-based Levy Restaurants, where his last position was senior vice president. During his tenure with Levy Restaurants, he oversaw the convention center group, the company’s largest division, with annual revenues in excess of $125 million. In this capacity, he managed a portfolio that included McCormick Place in Chicago, Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.; Georgia World Congress Center and Georgia Dome in Atlanta; and David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Penn. His experience also includes positions with Marriott Hotels and Resorts in Chicago from 1988 to 1991, as well as Grand Hotel, The Island House and Lakeview Hotel all on Mackinac Island, Mich., where he held positions of increasing responsibility from 1984 to 1998. He has been with Delaware North since 2005.
