Deb Friedel
Title: Director of Sustainability
Deb Friedel is the director of sustainability for Delaware North Companies Parks & Resorts. Friedel brings nearly 10 years of operational experience that she developed at Yellowstone National Park. She was at Yellowstone from our first days of operating in the park, having implemented GreenPath® and an integrated interpretation philosophy, and assisting with facility restoration at the Old Faithful and Mammoth stores.
Friedel grew up in Wisconsin where the legacy of renowned conservationist Aldo Leopold resonates. Her passion for natural resources, education and conservation were cultivated at a young age. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire in 1993 and a master’s degree in biology with an emphasis in ecology and environmental science from Minnesota State University at Mankato in 1998.
