Alphy Johnson
Title: Chief Operating Officer

Alphy Johnson is chief operating officer of Delaware North Companies Parks & Resort. In this important role, Johnson provides the leadership necessary to the company’s operations worldwide to ensure that the Delaware North brand is optimized through an unparalleled range of services and expertise.

Johnson came to Delaware North with nearly 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, almost two-thirds of which was gained in senior management positions with The Al Faisaliah/Al Khozama Hotels (regional vice president), Rosewood Hotels and Resorts (vice president of operations promoted to lead global hotel operations) and Candela Hotels (chief operating officer), his most recent position. He also has served as general manager of a number of distinguished properties, including The Fairmont in San Antonio, Texas; The U.S. Grant Hotel in San Diego; and Hotel Nikko in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Johnson is a certified hotel administrator and is accredited in the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) program. He received his bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management from the University of Houston and completed coursework at Cornell University in 1990. He is currently working toward his master’s degree in business administration at the Swiss Gilon Institute for Higher Education.
