Melbourne & Olympic Parks Australian Venue Caterer of the Year


Melbourne & Olympic Parks, home to the Grand Slam of the Asia Pacific, the Australian Open, and Melbourne’s leading entertainment, concert and sports venue, has been recognised for providing the best catering of any venue in Australia.

Delaware North, the exclusive providers of hospitality and food service at Melbourne & Olympic Parks, was named the Venue Caterer of the Year at the 2009 National Restaurant and Caterers Association Awards for Excellence.

Melbourne & Olympic Parks entered the Victorian Caterers Hall of Fame at the 2007 Awards after winning the Event Caterer of the Year for three consecutive years, the only venue to achieve this feat.

The judging for the 2009 Awards took place during the record 17 Pink concerts held at Rod Laver Arena, and covered both corporate dining and catering to the public.

Brian Morris, Chief Executive Officer of the Melbourne & Olympic Parks Trust, said it was tremendous recognition of the work being done to improve the experience of everyone who attends the venue.
